Sam Lock
Sam’s approach to design combines his passion for craft and making with a commitment to a collaborative design process. He is dedicated to establishing meaningful connections with communities and strengthening connections to place through design.
Sam grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University in 2012. Sam helped establish the Dalhousie design build program Coastal Studio which connects students with communities to collaboratively develop designs that enhance and support the regional characteristics of culture, landscape, and ecology.
Sam remains committed to teaching and engagement as a mentor in the RAIC Syllabus program and an active member in the community.
